Award winning Japanese mini-velo and folding bike brand Tyrell has released it’s updated version, the FSX of Tyrell’s existing popular FX.
The FSX, which will be released next month, is an updated version of the FX model which was introduced 2 years ago. Incidentally, Mr Masahito Hirose, the founder of Tyrell said the “S” in FSX means speed. Masahito shared that some customers would like something faster and lighter that could also fold, hence the new FSX.
Features-wise, the FSX’s frame is constructed out of hydroformed 7005 aluminium alloy. It comes with a redesigned full carbon monocoque front fork with a 1.4inch tapered head tube, for increased steering precision and stability. The FSX will be equipped with narrower Schwalbe Ultremo ZX tires for lower rolling resistance and a full SRAM Force road group set. A small but interesting detail is the new seat tube shim which minimizes scratches/damages to the seat post when it is adjusted during the folding/unfolding process.
Overall, Mr Masahito explains that the basic structure of the FSX is pretty much the same as the FX but lighter, faster and more stable.
Will be available in June at Van’s Urban Bicycle Co and we are a specialists in folding bicycle and mini velo that caters to all.
