The Knog Blinder Road comes in front and rear versions, with a claimed output of 200 and 70 Lumens respectively – comfortably making it their brightest light to date ahead of the 80 Lumen Blinder 4 front light.
Knog lights are popular with the fixie crowd and commuters wanting a light bright enough for riding on well-lit roads but this marks the company’s first move into the road-specific market. At 200 Lumens we’d put the Blinder Road in the ‘serious commuter’ bracket and certainly at the lower end of what we’d recommend for night riding. It’s an innovate package though, with a number of interesting features.
The front light uses two Cree LEDs in separate lenses, one with a narrow, focussed 15° beam, and the other with a wider 22° beam to flood the road. That makes the Blinder Road visible at up to 1,000m, according to Knog, while the front light also uses a thermal management system which automatically regulates light output for optimum performance when the bike is stationary and in motion. The front light has four lighting modes, with a claimed battery life of one hour on the brightest mode and up to six hours in eco-flash mode.
KNOG Road Blinder will be available in Van’s Urban Bicycle from mid April and has 4 vibrant colours – Gun metal, Black, Red and Purple. Come check it out in April 2013.
Improvement version of Link C7:
Travel by folding bicycle has one often overlooked benefit — you keep your own schedule. No listening to traffic reports or leaving an hour early or later to get parking. The portable Link C7 goes one step further because it also folds and comes inside with you so you’ll never need to wonder if it’ll still be there when it’s time to head to your next stop.
The Q-Lock is strong: it exceeds tough European EN standards for strength and durability. The Q-Lock is also safe and easy to use. Close the handlepost lever and the AutoLock engages, holding the lever in the locked position. Forged 6061 aluminum. It comes with an adjustable handle height for taller cyclists.

3 March 2013, 7am – A beautiful Sunday morning, a total of 19 riders from roadie, foldie and mini velo cyclists gathered at the car park of U8/21 Jalan Serambi, Bukit Jelutong for a 65km ride.
It was a fabulous and sunny morning and we started our point at Bukit Jelutong and all the way to IJOK for breakfast. At 9am, we reached our destination for breakfast and had roti canai and nasi lemak @ Kundang. After breakfast, we ride all the way back to Guthrie highway and back to our starting point.
At 11:15am, we reached back to the point where we started at Bukit Jelutong. Everyone was tired and exhausted after the ride but it was a great and exciting long ride.
We hope to organise another exciting route to cycle with all the cyclists within our group. Those who miss out the ride, can join us for our coming ride the next time.
